Sossusvlei´s renowned red dunes are a sight to behold. The desert in its kilometer-wide magnitude inspires nothing but respect and awe. Besides its magnificent dunes, this place is home of the camel thorn trees. These trees have twisted, dark trunks and no leaves, for which the grove received the name of “tree graveyard”. Morbid as it may sound, this sight makes up for a picture you won’t forget.
There are more colours in the buildings, furniture and clothes in Chauen than you could possibly imagine. Few places are as colourful and full of energy as a Moroccan market. And while at first sight, the place may seem like a chaos of colour, Morocco´s architecture is all about intricate designs and perfect symmetry. Nothing inspires our wanderlust more that a picture that captures the complicated essence of Moroccan life.
Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
No place defies reality quite like Bolivia´s Salar de Uyuni. During rainy season, the kilometers of salt create a mirror-like effect on the ground and makes you feel like you’re walking over the clouds. No professional photographer is needed to capture an awe-inspiring picture at what seems to be the end of the world. Bonus points for the pic if you get a little creative with the reflection.
Neuschwanstein Schloss, Germany
No place feels as magical as the castle used as inspiration to Walt Disney himself for the Magic Kingdom. The Neuschwanstein castle is located on top of a mountain and was built for no other purpose but for making a king feel like he lives his title´s corresponding life. Every angle is the perfect angle for this fairy-tale worthy castle, which makes it perfect to experiment with lenses and filters.
This beautiful town in Guatemala is host of the most colourful and stunning Christian tradition. Every year, during the period of Lent and Holy Week, people produce carpets out of dyed sawdust in the streets and men in purple tunics carry floats with religious images in a procession throughout the town.
Banff is a place that has it all: Rocky Mountains, frozen lakes, a charming little village and wildlife at its finest. This town is the definition of a winter wonderland that lets you wander around to your heart’s content. It is a great spot for both pleasing pics of a cup of coffee by a warming fireplace and your skiing adventures.
Mount Fuji, Japan
So, this one you will know about but we could’t resist. Out of all of Japan’s landmarks, Mount Fuji is by far the most iconic one. It is the country´s tallest mountain and part of its “Three Holy Mountains”. It is a solitary volcano perfect for hiking and taking a break from the world´s fast pace. A picture is worth a thousand words and taking a pic on top of the mountain shows a story worth telling.
